In 2015 Mark Ruffin celebrated his 35th year in broadcasting and journalism.

Since 2007, Mark has been the program director of the Real Jazz channel on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio.

Prior to that, Mark spent over 25 years as a fixture in jazz broadcasting in Chicago, serving on-air stints in Chicago starting at WBEZ in 1980 before moving on to WDCB, WBEE, WNUA, and back to WBEZ.

In addition he was the co-host of the popular syndicated public radio series “Listen Here,” the producer of the first five years of the nationally syndicated Ramsey Lewis radio program and an original staff member of Oprah Winfrey‘s station “Oprah Radio.”
